NEW DELHI : Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar has summoned a high level meeting this evening to take stock of the security situation in wake of the terror attack on Pathankot airbase of Indian Air Force.
Top officials of the IAF, Army and the ministry have been asked to remain present in the meeting, sources in the Defence Ministry said, adding that Mr Parrikar was closely monitoring the situation.
“The minister was in constant touch with Air Headquarters,” the sources said. National Security Adviser Ajit Doval is said to be coordinating with all the security agencies connected with anti-terror mechanism, sources added.
The NSA is regularly briefing Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the situation. (UNI)
