SRINAGAR, Oct 23: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) president Dr Farooq Abdullah today emphasized the importance of the Party manifesto in outlining the vision and priorities that will guide the Omar Abdullah-led Government for the next five years.
During interactions with various individual and public delegations at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha in Srinagar, Dr Farooq Abdullah listened attentively to the issues raised by the visitors. Party general secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar was also present on the occasion.
Dr Farooq assured the delegations that the Government would address their concerns saying that it may take some time for the democratic Government to fully assess the situation and make necessary changes within the administrative setup.
In the meantime, the president of the Women’s Wing of the Party, Shameema Firdous, presided over a meeting with the functionaries of the women’s wing at the party headquarters.
She emphasized the importance of reaching out to the public with the Government’s policies and programs. Provincial president of the Women’s Wing, Sabiya Qadri also spoke to the functionaries and urged them to continue working at the grassroots level to bolster the party’s strength.
