HUBLI, KARNATAKA, Apr 21:
Bharatiya Janata Party veteran L K Advani today said the party will decide on the PM candidature at an appropriate time, setting at rest the projection of Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the PM candidate for the party in the next Lok Sabha elections.
Talking to newspersons at the Hubli Airport, Mr Advani declined to join the ongoing duel with Bihar Chief Minister and JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar’s remarks on Mr Modi.
Mr Advani arrived here to launch the BJP campaign at Ranebennur, near here for the May 5 Karnataka Assembly elections.
Commenting on the party’s prospects, Mr Advani expressed confidence that his party would return to power on the back of good performances of Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar and his predecessor D V Sadananda Gowda.
