JAMMU, July 15: BJP has started process for 2019 Lok Sabha elections in the State and in this connection a meeting cum workshop of Shakti Kendras constituted by the party to strengthen it at booth level was held here, today in which Party State Prabhari and national vice president, Avinash Rai Khanna was the chief guest.
Talking to media persons at the sidelines of the programme, Avinash Rai Khanna said that party has started the process for next year Lok Sabha elections on the directives of its national president, Amit Shah who had visited the State last month.

He said on his directives the Shakti Kendras have been constituted to strengthen the party at booth level. If every booth is won the party will naturally win the elections, he added.
In response to a question regarding withdrawal of security to former Ministers, Khanna said that it is the decision of the administration. The Governor’s administration has to take a decision in this regard and he can’t comment on that.
In response to another question that Hurriyat leaders are given security, the BJP leader said the MLAs security should not be linked to Hurriyat security.
On the allegation leveled by PDP and former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti that BJP was trying to break her party and same will have serious consequences, he said BJP has many great leaders and it is not interested in breaking any party nor it ever tried to do the same.
Later addressing the party workers’ meet he said that BJP will sweep every poll from Panchayat to Parliament in the State.
BJP State president, Ravinder Raina (MLA), former Minister, Sat Sharma, BJP State vice-presidents, Parmod Kapahi, Rajni Sethi, State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State general secretaries, Dr. Narinder Singh and Pawan Khajuria were also present in the meeting.
Khanna, stressed upon the party workers to carry out all the issues discussed by the national president of the party, Amit Shah. He said that BJP, in preparation of 2019 elections is focusing on the strengthening of organization at booth level. He said that booth forms a very important and functional unit of the organization and dedicated party activists’ will ensure BJP’s win in every poll from Panchayat to Parliament.
Khanna prompted the party activists to make contact with all the prominent persons living in their vicinity.
BJP State president, Ravinder Raina, in his address, highlighted the developmental and progressive programmes of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi led Government at the Centre. He said that BJP has truly delivered on its slogan of “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas” by initiating plethora of schemes particularly dedicated to the welfare of poor. He said that the dedicated work by the BJP has touched the lives of people and the selfless social works by the leaders of party has paid, when we see the happiness and satisfaction on the faces of villagers from far off places who have witnessed electricity connection, LPG connections and other basic facilities at their places for the first time.
Sat Sharma, while speaking focused on the celebration of six party festivals at every booth level. He also stressed for listening of popular AIR programme of PM, “Mann Ki Baat” on every last Sunday at every booth.
Ashok Kaul, in his address threw light on the organizational matters. He prompted the Shakti Kendra Pramukhs to submit the details of their booths in view of approaching elections in the State.
District president Ayodhya Gupta proposed vote of thanks and district general secretary, Sanjeev Sharma conducting the proceedings.
Later Khanna addressed a meeting of BJP State Cell convenors at party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar which among others was attended by State president of the party, Ravinder Raina along with State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State general secretary, Harinder Gupta and State incharge All Cells, Varinderjit Singh.
While addressing the meeting, Khanna said that BJP is an organization based party which has a strong cadre base in the society. He said that various Cells are framed by the party to streamline and categorize the party cadre to improve the functioning of the activists.
Khanna prompted the Cells Incharges to work with ever improving coordination with the main party. He also asked them to contribute more time for the development of cells and highlight individual issues of the cells, which will eventually help in strengthening the roots of party into the society.
Ravinder Raina, asked the Cell convenors to conduct regular interactions and meetings within the cells as well as in the society so that the work undertaken by them is taken to the common masses.
