DODA, Jan 12: Assar police arrested a passenger along with illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, a team from police station Assar during routine checking subjected a bus bearing registration number JK02AG-6195 coming from Jammu to Doda for checking.
During search, police recovered 40 pouches of illicit liquor from the possession of a passenger and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Parvinder Singh, son of Kuldeep Singh of Bhagwah.
He was carrying the illicit liquor pouches to his native village for sale among the masses on exorbitant rates.
A case under FIR Number 4/16 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused at police station Assar and investigation started.
