JAMMU, Mar 10: Management of Jammu Club here today installed a passenger elevator at Club premises which is one more step towards providing better infrastructure and facilities to Club members, their families and guests.
The elevator was inaugurated by Club Vice President and Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma along with Club Honorary Secretary, Rattandeep Singh Anand and members of the management committee of the Club—Rajesh Gupta, Manjit Kotwal, Ajay Sabharwal, Seema Khajuria, Rajni Rohmetra, Neelam Gupta and Gaurav Gupta.
A handout of the Club stated that Jammu Club has been expanding its premises and has added restaurants, party halls and Billiard room on the first floor for its members.
It was felt that senior members and persons with special abilities were not able take the stairs and were thus not able to use these facilities. So a decision was taken to install the elevator to make the Club more apt and user friendly for these members. The management hopes that with this enhanced facility more and more members will be able to use the Club facility which is considered a second home by them.
