KATHUA, Feb 7: A passenger was found dead in a bus on the way from Delhi to Jammu here, today. He was identified as Kamal Singh, 40, resident of Nagrota , Jammu. He was traveling in bus No JK02Y 0604 which was on the way from Delhi to Jammu. When his co- passenger found him in unconscious condition he informed the driver. The driver stopped the vehicle at Medical College -Kathua for medical check up of the passenger who was appearing to be in unconscious State. But the doctors declared him as brought dead.
The Kathua police shifted the body to mortuary and started investigation into the matter. Police has also registered case under relevant sections of the law. It is said that some robbers are active in buses to loot the passengers after giving them some intoxicated eatables to make them unconscious.
Number of such cases have taken place when poor laborers working in Delhi area were looted and found unconscious in the buses.
