JAMMU, May 20: A passing out parade of 52nd and 53rd batches of forest guards took place in Forest Guards Training School, Doomi.
Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Suresh Chugh took the salute on the occasion.
The main function started with welcome address of the Conservator of Forests, Working Plan Circle, Jammu Harmohinder Singh, and annual report by the Principal Forest Guard Training School, Doomi, Naresh Majotra, followed by declaration of result by Chief Conservator of Forests, Working Plan Research and Training, Jammu, T Rabi Kumar.
A total of 40 trainees passed out in two batches i.e 52nd and 53rd batch of Forest Guards after a rigorous training schedule of six months, which included strict theoretical and practical regime including physical training, field visits both within and outside the State.
Nadeem Nazir of Bhaderwah Forest Division and Zakir Hussain of Bhaderwah Forest Division stood first in 52nd and 53rd batch respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Suresh Chugh urged new guards to use new technologies like GPS and information technology in the forest. He also encouraged the staff to work in collaboration with other departments and common people for the protections on Green Gold. He laid out special stress on the protection of forest from forest fire and adopting zero tolerance towards encroachments.
CCF Jammu Sameer Bharti also encouraged the new guards with his noble words.
Among others present were Vasu Yadav, Managing Director SFC, Jammu, K Ramesh, Chief Conservator of Forests, Projects and Planning, M Dass, Chief Conservator of Forests, East Circle, Jammu, Dr Jitender Kumar, Conservator of Forests West Circle, Jammu, Kudyar, Joint Director Soil Erosion, M Kumar, Regional Director Social Forestry Jammu, Rafi Ahmed Bhat, Joint Director Forest Protection Force, Jammu, Divisional Forest Officer Jammu, Sat Paul, PO MFP, Anwar Aftab Shah and other senior officers.
