Passport Office Jammu wins National Award

JAMMU, June 26: The Regional Passport Office, Jammu, has risen from one of the lowest performing offices to National Award Winner.
In a series of successes, the Passport Office Jammu has this year won the National Award as Runner Up in its category.
The Award was handed over to Rajinder Gupta, Passport Officer Jammu by Sushma Swaraj,  Union Minister for External Affairs at Jawahar Lal Nehru Bhawan in the presence of  V K Singh, MoS External Affairs, Swaminathan, Special Secretary (MEA), Muktesh K Pardeshi, Joint Secretary (CPV Division, MEA) and other senior dignitaries of the Ministry of External Affairs.
It is pertinent to mention that Passport Office Jammu has scored 100% points in citizens’ assurance and grievance redressal services. The process of verification stands streamlined and the verifications are now downloaded by the Police through digital signatures.
Ever since  Rajinder Gupta joined as Passport Officer Jammu three years back, the Passport Office Agents were stopped and a new Mission Mode Project with e-governance was rolled out.
When contacted, Rajinder Gupta appreciated the role of staff and also thanked the Police Department in general and CID in particular for timely action and work done in providing the Police Verification Reports.
