Patanjali trains women in ‘Traditional Eco Art’

HARIDWAR, Mar 3: With support of Utrakhand State Rural Livelihood Mission (USRLM), Patanjali Yogpeeth organised training a programme at its rural centre where ladies from different districts of Utrakhand were trained in ‘Traditional Eco Art’ to make them self employed by connecting them with traditional skill of the region popular as ‘Apen’.
The women were trained in business skills to become self employed during a five day training workshop.
The valediction of the workshop witnessed the presence of Acharaya Balkrishan, Co-founder of Patanjali group.
Distributing certificates to the women who attended the training workshop, Acharaya Balkrishan said that objective of the training was to make the ladies self-sufficient and self-employed so that they may contribute to the income of their families.
Women in the workshop were trained in making earthen lamps, art by stone, embroidery on sarees and shirts, making of wooden blocks, canvas painting etc.
On this occasion Additional CEO of Livelihood Mission of Utrakhand State, Pradeep Pandey lauded the efforts of Patanjali in training the women to make them self-employed.
The professional team from Vansathali University, Rajasthan along with the team of progressive villages was also present on this occasion.
