HARIDWAR, Aug 16: On India’s 78th Independence Day, Patanjali Yogpeeth highlighted organization’s commitment to tackle societal issues such as addiction, disease and corruption through education, healthcare, and cultural initiatives.
Yogpeeth President, Swami Ramdev emphasized that Patanjali is dedicated to nation’s freedom from these challenges and aims to fulfill the dreams of the martyrs.
During Independence Day celebration, Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna hoisted the National Flag at Patanjali University in Haridwar.
Swami Ramdev spoke about the ongoing efforts to restore India’s cultural and spiritual legacy through Patanjali’s diverse initiatives.
He underlined the importance of education and self-reliance in safeguarding nation’s future.
He also expressed concern over the persecution of Hindus in neighboring countries like Bangladesh and Pakistan and called for government intervention.
Addressing the issue of caste-based census, Swami Ramdev stated that India needs to rise above divisions created by caste, religion and political agendas.
He also highlighted the importance of border security and praised the sacrifices of Indian soldiers.
Acharya Balkrishna reiterated Patanjali’s mission to work towards a prosperous and self-reliant India, continuing the legacy of freedom fighters.
The event was attended by officials, employees, students and saints from Patanjali institutions, along with representatives from Nepal.
Swami Ramdev stressed on the unity in the country to address internal challenges.
