UDHAMPUR, Mar 18: MLA Udhampur East Ranbir Singh Pathania today emphasized his commitment to resolve power-related grievances by spearheading a significant augmentation of power infrastructure in the region.
As part of the effort, the 6.3 MVA power transformer at Flata was upgraded to 10 MVA, significantly enhancing the station’s capacity.
This initiative, aimed at resolving long-standing electricity woes, includes the upgradation of transformers at key locations, ensuring uninterrupted power supply, especially during peak summer months.
Additionally, the dismantled 6.3 MVA transformer from Flata has been relocated to Dhema Receiving Station.
Speaking on the occasion, Pathania said, “With this augmentation, the people of Rehmbal, Tikri and Mand will get relief from forced power cuts due to overloading. We are ensuring that infrastructure is upgraded in a time-bound manner so that residents don’t suffer, especially during the peak summer months.”
“A new 10 MVA grid station will soon be installed at Satani, which will stabilize the power load of Jaganoo and surrounding areas. He acknowledged that this region has also been suffering from unscheduled power cuts and low voltage issues, and assured the delegation that swift action is being taken,” he said.
“This issue was raised by me on the floor of the Assembly, and I am pleased to inform that the Government has committed to installing the new 10 MVA Grid at Satani, which will permanently resolve power woes in the area,” he added.
Among others who were present on the occasion included Subash Sharma and Ravinder Singh.
