MAJALTA, Oct 23: To enhance infrastructure and connectivity in the region, Ranbir Singh Pathania, MLA Udhampur East, kickstarted blacktopping of Samba to Mansar road, here today.
This vital infrastructure project, set to be executed at a cost of Rs 2 crores, marks a crucial step toward improving transportation and fostering economic growth in the area.
Additionally, the strengthening of the Samba to Mansar road will be carried out at a cost of Rs 30 lakhs.
Speaking on the occasion, Pathania said, “Pacca roads are the arteries of a developed society. They facilitate not just transportation but also economic growth and community development. Our government is committed to ensuring that every citizen has access to quality infrastructure.”
He directed the authorities toward prioritizing the Battal to Barigarhmohalla road and addressing potholes on the Main Bazar Mansar road and also called for urgent improvements to the HSS Mansar to Shamshanghat road and urged the SMDA to operationalize all defunct street lights in Mansar.
Addressing the people in Mottu villages, he assured the people that a mobile tower will be put into operation in the village to ensure seamless connectivity and also committed that mobile towers for Panjian and Sail KouriBer will also be established at the earliest.
Earlier, Pathania launched the blacktopping of two other critical roads, Hamdana to Panjiya road, which will be completed at a cost of Rs 1.56 crores and the Sundla to Babey road, with an investment of Rs 32 lacs.
Among others who were present on the occasion included Gopal Singh, Mandal Pradhan Majalta, Mohan Lal Mandal Pradhan, Ved Sharma, Surinder Singh, Kewal Singh, Somnath Sharma, Kulbushan Sharma, Kirpal Singh, Balkar Singh, Haisyat Botia, Tilak Raj, Mohan Lal, Gian and other community members.
