RAMNAGAR, Apr 4: MLA Ranbir Singh Pathania today launched Badhole to Surni Khas (Stage-II)/macadamization work of PMGSY road having length of 07.750 km and supposed to be completed at the cost of Rs 214.93 lakh.
The said road had been in shambles and non-motorable since past decade. The contractor agency had left the work midway thereby causing severe hardships to the people of as many as five villages who had been deprived of facility of road connectivity.
The MLA also inaugurated newly constructed building of Health Sub-Centre Surni which has been constructed at the cost of Rs 22.00 lakh. The work on  building was also started a decade ago and had been deserted midway by the contractor agency.
It was due to the out of box approach of local MLA that deserted works have been completed and dedicated to the people of the area in a short span of time.

He directed line officers as well as different departments to ensure maximum presence in neglected areas of Ramnagar. He further exhorted the people to maintain better liaison with official machinery and try to get maximum benefits out of public welfare schemes and programme.
The locally projected issues were upgradation of M.S Surni, electrification of unelectrified habitats, connecting of Surni road to Neeli village and issues pertaining to sanitation, social welfare etc.
Pathania said that due to the acts and omissions of few Government officers and lackluster approach of political functionaries, work on University Campus at Ramnagar was stalled but is likely to resume soon as he has taken up the matter with highest authorities. The MLA said that he stands committed for a “Unnat Ramnagar” with all facilities for modern education, healthcare, sports infrastructure, viable roads and 24×7 water and electric supply for all.
