RAMNAGAR, Oct 28: MLA Ramnagar, Ranbir Singh Pathania today kick started blacktopping of Balpur-Babey road to be completed at an estimated cost of nearly Rs 50 lakh.
Pertinently public of the area has been raising this demand time and again but was not paid heed until present legislator took up the cause. The road will be macadamized as per the highway standards and will carry a liability of 3 years for contractor agency.
Speaking on the occasion, Pathania said that viable road connectivity to all the habitation will be made a reality. Terming the viable roads as the lifeline of the nation, he said that once viable road connectivity to an area is made available, rest of the development of the area is automatically achieved.
On the occasion, he announced up gradation and macadamization of various roads including Dassian- SK Ber, Katheel-Jansal, Majalta-Peoni, Plassan-Bainsta, Johnu-Pangrain, Badakh-Badhoi and many others. He said that all these roads will be macadamized with (50 mm+ 25 mm layer) and there will be no compromise on quality time. He asked the contractor and executing agencies to strictly adhere to the quality standards and time schedule of completion.
Earlier, Pathania inspected the Ramnagar-Sattiyan-Tagan road along with SDM and Tehsildar Ramnagar to have first-hand view of the road. Spot instructions were issued to improve the condition of road as early as possible.
