JAMMU, Nov 29: Ranbir Singh Pathania, MLA Ramnagar Assembly Constituency, today kick-started the macadamisation of three different roads in Majalta area.
The roads taken up for macadamisation included Katheel -Jansal road with an estimated cost of 42.00 lakh, Majalta-Peoni road with an estimated cost of cost- 1.55 crore and Manwal-Pinger road at an estimated cost of Rs 35 lakh.
The MLA said that the DPRs for the left over portion of Manwal -Pingal road for Rs five crore have been framed and soon the road will be motorable from Manwal to holy shrine of Mata Pingla also
Speaking on the occasion, Pathania said that though odd 60 years have passed but the public of the area has been deprived of basic living facilities. Pathania said that after being given a chance to serve as the legislator by the public, he set a goal for himself to develop hitherto neglected pockets of Ramnagar Assembly segment. He reiterated his focus on boosting pilgrimage tourism in Ramnagar and Majalta tehsils which will boost local employment as well exposure and development of the area.
The MLA also reiterated focus on proper development, projection and creation of State-of-art tourism facilities at Devi Bani temple at Manwal, Vasuki Nag Temples at Dudu, Basantgarh and Gandh Top, Narsingh temples at Ramnagar,Gurlang & Jansal, Aapshambu temples at Dalsar & Khoon, ancient Nag temple at Mansar, and Chountara Mata, Bihana Choun, and Pingla Mata shrines.
He said that thousands of devotees visit each of these revered shrines every year but State has done least to provide adequate infrastructural facilities at these shrines.
He said that efforts are afoot to handover revered Shrines of Mata Chountra and Mata Pingla to Shrine Board for holistic development of the area so that tourism activities can get a boost.
Pathania informed that a work on the road from Thial to Chountra under CRF at an estimated cost of Rs 26.00 crore and Dhemma to Thial at 2.50 crore has already been taken up which will not only provide the much needed all weather road connectivity to the Shrine of Mata Chountra Devi Ji but also connect Dhar area directly with Dhar road.
