SRINAGAR, July 8: AICC General Secretary and Incharge J&K, Rajni Patil today chaired Political Affairs Committee meeting of Jammu Kashmir Pradesh Congress and took stock of the political situation.
The meet discussed a varied range of issues and more particularly the preparations for the scheduled “Maun Satyagraha” (silent protest) to be observed on July 12 to express solidarity with Rahul Gandhi, whose plea seeking a stay on his conviction in the 2019 defamation case has been dismissed by the Gujarat High Court.
The meeting was attended by AICC Secretary Manoj Yadav, committee chairman Tariq Hameed Karra, former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, former JKPCC president G A Mir, Peerzada Sayeed, Ghulam Nabi Monga, Moola Ram and Khem Lata Wakhloo.
