Patoli Brahmana residents demand renovation of road

JAMMU, Mar 15: The inhabitants of Patoli Brahmana, Sharda Colony, Sarswati Vihar, Anuradha Puram and Barnai have expressed grave concern over the dilapidated condition of road passing via Ranbir Canal bank from Barnai Pulli to Patoli Brahmana.
The residents said that the road has become a death trap for the commuters as it has developed deep ditches and pit holes at various places. They said that despite making repeated pleas to the R&B Department number of times no steps were taken for last many years in renovation of the road.
The residents said that daily school children and other people travel via this road which has a heavy rush of local vehicles as a number of schools also exist adjoin to this road. The road has become accident prone and in case no steps were taken for its immediate renovation it will prove very dangerous for the commuters.
In an appeal to the R&B authorities and JMC Mayor the people demanded immediate renovation of road from Barnai Pulli to TV tower along Ranbir Canal. The road is a life line to the population of over 10, 000 in the area and they are facing many hardships due to its bad condition. The residents said that the authorities have started the renovation of the road from Barnai Pulli to Dream City Muthi but ignored the main portion which has generated a lot of public resentment.
