Patoli Brahmana, Sharda Colony facing water crisis for 5 days

JAMMU, Dec 31: The residents of Patoli Brahmana and Sharda Colony have expressed grave concern over the water scarcity being faced by them.
In a statement issued here, today they said that the water supply has been totally disrupted in the area for over last five days for the best reasons known to Jal Shakti Department which have been approached number of times by the people of the area to look into the problem as water supply remains often disrupted for days together in the area.
Pran Nath Bhat and Jyoti Sharma residents of the area said that over a fortnight back water supply was disturbed for one week and now again it is disturbed for over last five days with the result the people are put to many hardships. They said in case there is any problem with machinery the authorities should supply the water through tankers which it too failed to do.
They warned that people will come to streets if the water supply was not immediately restored. They also demanded commissioning of overhead tank at Patoli Sharda Colony which has been constructed over four years back to solve the water problem in the area.
