SRINAGAR, Apr 24: Anti-Corruption Bureau today arrested a Patwari while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 2000.
An official spokesman said that a complaint was lodged by one Ather Bashir alleging therein that the Patwari of Nasrulla Pora Budgam namely Bashir Ahmed has taken Rs 8000 from him for issuing Fard-i-Intikhab of 8 marlas of land at Gallwanpora and was demanding Rs 2000 more for the same.
Accordingly, a trap team was constituted and accused Patwari was caught while accepting bribe money of Rs 2000. A case has been registered against him for further investigation.
