SRINAGAR, June 18: A Patwari of Halqa Asnoor, D H Pora, was caught red handed by Vigilance sleuths while accepting a bribe for mutation of ancestral land of the complainant.
A special squad of Vigilance Organization Kashmir (VOK) under the supervision of SSP M S Punnoo caught red handed Patwari Nisar Ahmad Ahangar while demanding and accepting a bribe from the complainant Gulzar Ahmad Dar who had lodged a complaint that the said Revenue official was demanding Rs 20,000 for mutation of ancestral land measuring 17 marlas.
The accused was caught red handed and lodged in Police Station Vigilance Organization Kashmir. The trap team was led by Manzoor Ahmad, DySP and assisted by Inspectors of VOK.
