JAMMU, Jan 23: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) registered a case against Ramesh Kumar Patwari Halqa Baddu, Billawar, Kathua vide FIR No. 01/2020 at Police Station ACB Jammu under Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 r/w Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 on the basis of a complaint lodged by Hukam Chand, S/o Mallu Ram, R/o Baddu Tehsil Billawar, district Kathua.
The Complainant stated in his application that Patwari namely Ramesh Kumar Patwar Halqa Baddu, Billawar was demanding bribe amounting to Rs. 10,000/- for preparing revenue extract (fard)
Accordingly, a team of officers was constituted to lay a trap against the Patwari which caught the delinquent official red-handed while accepting an amount of Rs 10,000/- by way of illegal gratification from the complainant. He has been arrested and further investigation of the case is going on.
