Pawan convenes public grievances redressal camps

UDHAMPUR, Sept 29:   Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology, Pawan Kumar Gupta, visited far flung areas of Karcha and Lander of Udhampur district and convened public grievances redressal camps.
The people put forth various problems and demands including dilapidated condition of roads, elevated power tariff, irregular water supply and repair of water pipes, shortage of teachers in schools, irregular supply of ration, compensation under PMGSY schemes, installation of electric poles, foot bridges over nullahs, adequate security and timely scholarships etc.
The Minister assured the people an early redressal of their problems. He said that every possible step would be taken for fulfillment of their demands and overall development of the area.
He instructed Executive Engineer PDD to replace the old poles and wires besides ensuring adequate supply of electricity.
The Minister directed AEE PHE to prepare DPR for new Water Supply Schemes and repair of damaged water pipes at the earliest. He directed TSO Panchari to ensure regular monthly supply of ration as per quantity fixed under norms. He instructed Deputy CEO to make sure that adequate staff is appointed in schools of Lander.
The Minister directed BDO Panchari to construct 4 bathrooms near  4 bowlis   at Lander and Karcha. He constituted a committee comprising Tehsildar, BDO and SHO to ensure proper distribution of ration among the people. He instructed Horticulture Department to provide 5000 walnut plants to the people for orchards.
He instructed AEE Irrigation  to make DPR for construction of new Kuhls besides asking AEE FC to estimate the number of  crates required for Lander.
The Minister announced 100 solar lights, LED lights, transformer and 2 foot bridges for the people of  Karcha and Lander.
