UDHAMPUR, Nov 23: Independent candidate Pawan Gupta today toured village Garnai, Malad, Rehmbal, Sangoor and Housing Colony where he addressed public meetings.
Mr Gupta said that people from Udhampur are born entrepreneurs and it was a matter of pride that a huge percentage of people in the constituency are self employed. “All we need, is to give them rights tools for expansion and if elected, I will work to create superb quality infrastructure and try my level best to lure private investment to the town,” he said.
Lamenting on how the youth find it impossible to get suitable employment, Mr Gupta stressed the need to stop  brain drain for developing the Udhampur constituency. The town has huge potential for development, which was ignored by the sitting MLA, he said.
The public meetings were also addressed by some other speakers, who appealed the youth to support Pawan Gupta  and take the town to new heights.
