UDHAMPUR, Sept 1: MLA Udhampur Pawan Gupta today held the present Government responsible for the prevailing unrest in Kashmir valley and warned that Jammu and Ladakh should not be taken far granted for appeasing separatists.
“The Government  committed  blunders  ever since the date BJP-PDP regime  came to power in March 2015 with first statement of then  Chief Minister Mufti Mohd. Sayeed extending thanks to Pakistan and Huriyat Conference for successful conduct of 2014 Assembly polls,” he said.
Alleging that such a statement made indication of the mentality of Valley based PDP, Pawan Gupta said that the BJP, which fought for the nationalist approach and one nation theory, committed blunder by abandoning patriotism and entering into a hidden agenda of alliance for enjoying power.
Pawan Gupta listed the events and statements in the chain, which led to encouragement of separatist forces. “Release of Mussarat Aalam- the leader of stone palters, exploitation of beef issue, encouragement of ISIS flag incidents, abandoning the Kashmiri Pandit colony as well as Sainik Colony under pressure of separatist forces, irresponsible statement of Deputy Chief Minister on NIT controversy besides keeping the patriotic  students at lurch,  vacation of Army  land , removal of bunkers, stoppage of Abhinav Yatra on one hand and allowing anti-national seminar to be conducted at Srinagar, release of stone palters on the eve of Eid and  controversial statement of Muzzafer Beg demanding Islamic State  were booster to separatist forces,” he explained.
Stressing  that the Government should not take Jammu & Ladakh for granted in luring Kashmiris at their cost and bowing before separatist force, he warned strong agitation from patriotic forces in they are ignored.
