UDHAMPUR, Feb 16: Member Legislative Assembly from Udhampur constituency, Pawan Gupta kick started the construction work on lane Trilokinath Mandir and lane back side of Happy Model Higher Secondary School in Shiv Nagar of Udhampur Town.
Locals of these areas were demanding the construction of these lanes for the last more than a decade and the matter was brought into the notice of higher authorities for appropriate action several times.
The action was initiated only after the people apprised MLA Udhampur of their grievance.
While kick starting the construction work, MLA Pawan Gupta informed that construction cost of these lanes shall be Rs 5.50 lakh. He asked people to keep watch on the developmental works and in case of any problem, the matter may be brought into his notice for necessary action.
On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer Municipal Council Udhampur, Raj Kumar Buchha, Raj Muhammad Chandail, Rohit Sethi, Zamila Begum, Ramesh Kumar, Satish Chopra and Jia Lal were present.
