UDHAMPUR, Dec 29: MLA Pawan Gupta today held a Public Darbar for Lander and Dandota Panchyats of Udhampur Assembly Constituency and took stock of the public grievances.
The authorities of all the departments including PHE, Power Development, Agriculture, Horticulture, Rural Development and R&B were present.
People highlighted the scarcity of drinking water and demanded three hand pumps anywhere in the Panchayat. They also appealed the MLA to replace wooden electricity poles with iron poles to avoid any unwanted incident. The other demands of the Panchayat were installation of 63 KVA transformer in Karcha village, required electric poles, Health sub centers, tractor road, bridge on Panthal Nalla and repair of ambulance.
The people from Lander Panchyat highlighted several issues including deputation of sufficient teaching staff in Government school, regular supply of drinking water, quality of developmental works, regular supply of electricity and necessary measures in connection with low voltage.
Gupta assured the people that appropriate measures will be taken in connection with their problems and grievances. He also sanctioned three hand pumps and announced for the construction of a community hall from his CDF and FC funds.
