UDHAMPUR, May 3: MLA Udhampur Pawan Kumar Gupta today kick started the work on upgradation of 12 Kms long road from Jakhani ( Udhampur ) to Kaldi (Upper Thanoa ).
This road is being constructed under PMGSY with an estimated cost of Rs 11.00 crore. The MLA, accompanied by the officers of various departments, also held a public durbar at Kaldi. While speaking on the occasion, Gupta said that upgradation of the road will go a long way in mitigating problem of the people to a great extent and it will fulfill long pending demand of the area.
He divulged that large scale other developmental works in Udhampur constituency are on anvil. Gupta stressed that he was committed to launch developmental activities in such a manner that Udhampur becomes a model constituency.
