UDHAMPUR, May 16:- A special meeting of senior party functionaries as well as elected DDC councillors and BDC chairpersons was convened here by Puran Chand district president, BJP at party Headquarter, Battal Ballian today.
While addressing the meeting Pawan Gupta, former Minister called upon the elected representatives to remain vigilant on 24/7 basis with regard to COVID control measures. R. S. Pathania, spokesperson JKBJP, called for establishing a dedicated separate COVID care hospital at district headquarters. For coping with work force issues, he called for fast track recruitment of anaesthetists, physicians, trained ICU nurses.
He further called for aggressive vaccination in all the far-flung pockets of district Udhampur and creation of separate COVID wards with 20-50 bedded capacity, each in CHC Ramnagar, CHC Chenani, PHC Majalta, PHC Basangarh and PHC Panchari.
Puran Chand district president BJP also appreciated the efforts of frontline COVID workers who braving all odds at the forefront of the country’s battle against corona.
The meeting was attended by Lal Chand, chairperson DDC Udhampur, vice chairperson DDC Udhampur, Puran Chand, Amit Sharma DDC councillors as well as Arti Sharma, Jeevan Sharma and Balwan Singh, BDC chairpersons.
Later all the participants visited district hospital Udhampur where they had detailed discussions with incharge MS Dr. Balwinder Singh and the hospital team and inquired about day to day issues faced by them. They also pledged fullest support to the frontline Corona warriors. They were appreciative of the Herculean efforts and courage and commitment of staff of Health Department.
