MAHARASHTRA, Aug 28: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Supremo and former Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar today said that the Kashmir crisis can be solved if the Central Government fulfills its promises made before the election.
Addressing a press conference here this evening, he agreed that crisis in the State was serious and blamed the NDA-led Government for it.
Mr Pawar said he had held talks with J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti about the situation in the Valley, who told that the situation is worsening by the day and more youth were being targetted.
The former Union Minister said that Ms Mufti also informed him that present crisis can be solved if the Narendra Modi Government honours the promises made before the election.
”I have also extended full support to the issue of J&K during the All-Party meeting which was held in New Delhi with Mr Modi” he said, adding there is immediate need to intervene on the issue to resolve the present situation. (UNI)
