JAMMU, Apr 22: Former MLA and vice president of JKPCC, Indu Pawar here today exhorted the people to give a befitting reply to BJP for its anti-people and anti-poor policies.
Addressing a series of meetings in Jammu North Constituency at Kot and Kerwanda areas in support of Congress candidate Raman Bhalla on Jammu-Reasi-Samba LS seat, Pawar expressed disillusionment of the people of J&K with wrong policies of BJP-led Government.
“Heavy footfall of people in Congress rallies is a clear indication that common masses have made up their mind to teach BJP a lesson in these elections,” she maintained expressing confidence that heavy polling in Udhampur-Doda seat may be in favour of Congress.
Pawar highlighted the number of beneficial schemes introduced by Congress during UPA-I and UPA-II, such as MGNREGA, Right to Food, Right to Education and Right to Information.
Pointing toward problems being faced by the people of J&K, she said that J&K residents suffered disproportionately under PM Modi-led Government’s policies, resulting in the erosion of their rights, job insecurity and diminished status.
She urged party workers to intensify efforts to bolster the Congress party and secure victory for Jammu-Reasi seat.
