PCC chief cautions people about politics of exploitation

LEH, Oct 10: Describing Congress Party as future of the country and State, PCC chief GA Mir  today said that Congress being the only secular and  unifying force can ensure the integrity of the State and the country .
Addressing a large election rally at Leh town today Mr Mir said  that people of  Ladakh have always reposed their faith in the programme and policies of Congress Party. He reminded the people of  Ladakh region about the historic steps taken by the UPA Govt for the overall development of the region and people.  He said many development projects were taken up aiming to strengthen the people of  Ladakh  and  make them self reliant.
Referring to  present  scenario prevailing in the State, PCC chief said that people in all the three regions have always maintained communal harmony, brotherhood and lived in peace, but efforts, particularly during election times, are being made by certain forces to disintegrate and disturb the secular fabric of the State for the sake of coming into power.  He said any move to disintegrate the State would be defeated by Congress Party.
Mr Mir  asked the people to remain vigilant about the politics of exploitation, as the State has experienced this during 2014 Assembly elections. He said Congress being a vibrant force  is strong enough to defeat the designs of those forces depending upon divisive   & politics of exploitation, for their survival.  Congress will not allow such forces to play with the sentiments of people on region or religions basis.
Rejecting the designs of anti- peace & disruptive  forces, Mir said people of Ladakh region have always defeated politics of polarization and communalism. He felt confident that this time too when Leh is going for Council elections, people would reject those forces misleading people for the sake of coming into power.
Seeking vote and support for Congress candidate for Leh Dev Council, Mir expressed confidence that people have full faith in the pro people policies of Congress Party.
Those who addressed the gather included   District president T. Samphel, Mohd Shafi Lasoo Executive Councillor and T Namgiyal, Block president.
