JAMMU, Jan 1: Strongly condemning Pakistan for infiltrating terrorists to our territory, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee has expressed serious concern over the presence of a group of militants in Kheri-Gunni area of Seri belt in Nowshera sector where Army and Security forces are engaged in an encounter since last evening.
Former MLC and chief spokesperson of Congress, Ravinder Sharma while lauding the Army, security forces and police for their co-ordinated efforts to trace out group of militants and eliminate them, appealed to the local population to extend all possible co-operation to the forces in their operation.
He expressed great shock over reports of some causalties of our forces and said that the selfless sacrifices of our soldiers have always saved the innocent citizens from militants.
He strongly condemned Pakistan for resorting to frequent ceasefire violations to give cover to infiltrate terrorists from their side to this area, but the armed forces and brave border population have always defeated the designs of Pakistan. He expressed solidarity with the local population while saluting the bravery and dedication of soldiers.
