JAMMU, Jan 29:  The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has extended support to the genuine demands of the teaching community and urged the Govt to review its existing policies.
In a statement here today, PCC chief spokesman Ravinder Sharma lashed out at State Government for amalgamation of thousands of schools, non-payment of salary to ReT teachers for last four months, violation of transfer policy, ban on tuition, harassment  to union leaders, induction of KAS Officers as Joint Directors, screening of ReT teachers besides various other issues.
“It is unfortunate that the teachers have to come  on streets time and again for the last several months for their  demands. The policies of Government towards teachers of the State have disturbed the education system and Government. The Government must review such policies”, Mr Sharma maintained.
