JAMMU, June 6: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC)  has expressed serious concern over the overall power scenario, especially in Jammu region and the callous attitude of the Govt towards the people’s problems.
In  press statement here PCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma has said that there are reports of long  scheduled and unscheduled power cuts in Jammu region and the people are  suffering in the scorching heat. The most strange thing is that if a transformer get damaged, it takes  days and weeks to replace it and even a minor fault which should be rectified immediately, takes hours and the affected people are left on the mercy of God.
Mr  Sharma said that Power Development Department should take extra measures to provide regular uninterrupted power supply to the people of Jammu region  in the summer season and all infrastructure related power works should be postponed till the temperature level goes down to normal, so that the general public may not suffer due to prolong power cuts.
