JAMMU, June 27: Extending full support to the cause of Punjabi speaking people for the introduction and promotion of Punjabi language in the schools, JKPCC criticized State Government for its discriminatory order which has caused resentment amongst the Punjabi speaking and other similar linguistic groups in the State.
Questioning the move of the Government PCC said that on one hand it would cause unnecessary and uncalled for burden on students community by introduction of other compulsory subject besides causing great resentment and hurting the aspirations of Punjabi speaking community and other such linguistic groups which have been recognized as per Schedule VI of the J&K Constitution.
The PCC spokesperson Ravinder Sharma while extending full support to the genuine cause has also appealed the Government to review its decision keeping in view the overall aspects of the situation.
