PCI reschedules meet on J&K Plan

JAMMU, June 2: The Planning Commission of India (PCI) has rescheduled crucial meeting with top bureaucrats of Jammu and Kashmir for annual plan finalization.
Official sources told EXCELSIOR that the meeting, which was earlier scheduled to be held at Yojana Bhawan in New Delhi on June 8, will now be held on June 12.
In the meeting, group of bureaucrats headed by Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal would hold talks with the Planning Commission members on their needs for 2012-13 Annual Plan, Prime Minister’s Reconstruction Plan (PMRP) and other Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
After meeting with State’s top bureaucrats, the Planning Commission would fix final meeting for annual plan finalization between Planning Commission Deputy Chairman, Montek Singh Ahluwalia and Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah.
