JAMMU, Apr 8: Press Club of Jammu (PCJ) president Sanjeev Pargal has strongly condemned an attempt to assault PCJ Management Committee member and Amar Ujjala Reporter Ajay Meenia by some unidentified miscreants near Kullian, Miran Sahib last night when he was returning to the house from office duty.
Meenia has lodged a complaint with Miran Sahib police station.
Meenia told police that he was returning to his house late last night when unidentified persons travelling in White Scorpio intercepted him near Kullian and tried to assault him. He was threatened of dire consequences.
The scribe brought the matter to the notice of police but the accused hasn’t been identified so far.
The PCJ chief has called upon the police to immediately identify the accused and take stern action against them.
