JAMMU, Apr 16: A Police Community Participation Group (PCPG) meeting was conducted here under the jurisdiction of Police Station Miran Sahib under the chairmanship of SP Headquarters, Jammu, Ramnish Gupta.
As per a statement, SDPO RS Pura, Nikhil Gogna and SHO Miran Sahib, Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq, Panches, Sapranches, Numberdars, Chowkidaars and other prominent citizens of the area attended the meeting.
It said that a number of issues were discussed in the meeting. The grievances of all the participants were heard patiently and they were assured that their genuine demands would be communicated to the concerned departments for their immediate redressal.
The participants were encouraged to provide full cooperation to Police in prevention and detection of crime. Moreover, participants were also encouraged to co-operate with police in identifying the anti-social elements who always try to disrupt peace.
The participants also assured their full cooperation to Police in tackling social evils and appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants can express their views and opinions freely.
SHO Miran Sahib, Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq, concluded the meeting by presetting the vote of thanks.
