PDD daily wager dies due to electric shock

JAMMU, June 23: A daily wager of Power Development Department (PDD) died due to electric shock in Khandwal area of Chatha here today, police sources said.
The deceased was identified as Bodh Raj (45), son of Sansar Singh, a resident of Khandwal, District Jammu.
He was working as daily wager in Power Development Department (PDD) and got electrocuted while repairing a transformer.
After conducting post-mortem at GMCH Jammu, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
Chatha Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
Meanwhile, family members and relatives have demanded job for the son of the deceased. AEE Nitin Mahajan and JE Hitesh Sood also reached the GMCH Jammu and assured of every possible help from the PDD.
