PDD daily wagers going to 72 hr strike

JAMMU, Sept 21: All J&K PDD Employees Union and PDD Daily Wagers Union have decided to go on 72 hour `Kam Chhor Hartal’ (strike) from September 26 in Jammu province.
In a meeting of the members of the Unions held in the office premises of Chief Engineer, here today it was unanimously decided to go for 72 hour strike in support of their long pending demands of regularization and enhancement of wages. They appealed the PDD workers to suspend work and observe complete strike. They alleged that Govt despite assurance has failed to regularize services of temporary workers.
Provincial president Arvind Sharma, vice president Gul Mohd Bhat , chairman Bharat Singh, Ashwani Kumar state secretary and others spoke on the occasion.
