JAMMU, Dec 25: PDD Daily Wagers Union Kashmir has warned agitation in case the Government continues dillydallying tactics in implementing the DPC recommendations for their regularisation and promotion which was conducted in January last year.
In a statement Union expressed the hope that authorities will act on the assurance given by Commissioner Secretary PDD that the issue will be resolved soon. The Union spokesman said that in case the orders will further be delayed they are left with no option but to launch agitation. The spokesman said that DPC was held in January this year and one year is about to pass but till date the orders were not issued for reasons best known to CE M&RE Kashmir who is the convener of the DPC.
They said a ray of hope has been generated after the assurance given by Commissioner Secretary, Power recently and it is presumed that orders will be issued soon.
Meanwhile Peoples Welfare Society, Kashmir patron and trade Union leader, Mir Ghulam Rasool Butwani has also urged the Government to issue orders in support of daily wagers regularization who have suffered a lot over last one decade. He said 200 daily wagers of PDD are running from pillar to post for last one year for justice and the authorities are sleeping over the issue.
Mir also expressed concern over power crisis in some localities of Ganderbal especially damaging of transformer in Wakura and demanded that same be replaced immediately. Mir said the areas of Butwani, Zazna and other localities in Ganderbal district are facing acute power crisis. He also demanded a check on black marketers who are looting the public after the closure of NH and selling the goods on exorbitant rates. He also demanded intensification of work on doubling of Pandach to Dadarhama road as the people face problems due to long traffic jams.
