JAMMU, Aug 24: PDD daily wagers who were on agitation/ protest for the last about one month, deferred their strike today on the assurance of Dy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh, holding charge of Power Development Department.
Provincial president of the All J&K PDD Employees/ Daily Wagers Union, Arvind Sharma said that a deputation of the Union met the DyCM here today and discussed their issues in detail. The DyCM gave patient hearing and assured them to resolve their issues within one month.
On the assurance of the Minister in-charge PDD,the Union has suspended the strike for one month. He said that the workers will resumed their routine work from tomorrow onwards.
