JAMMU, Jan 1: A special team of Power Development Department from Electric Division-III Jammu ( Rehari), during surprise inspection disconnected 55 illegal power connections in Rehari, Bakshi Nagar, Bohri and Talab Tillo area.
Official sources said that the PDD team led by Executive Engineer, ED-III, R K Raina and assisted by AEE Sardari Lal, on the directions of MD JPDCL/PDD, Anant Tayal, during special campaign disconnected 55 illegal power connections during last two days and imposed Rs 8.81 lakh fine on the defaulters. Some power connections were also regularized during the drive conducted to check power theft.
The other members of the Inspection team included- Junior Engineer T P Singh, Tech-I Jasbir Singh, Jasbir Singh Tech-III and several meter readers.
