SRINAGAR, Mar 14: J&K Anti-Corruption Bureau has arrested a PDD employee at Soura Grid Station, who was caught red-handed for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 6500.
The accused employee, namely Javid Ahmad Raina ( MR/Tech-III PDD Department), son of Mohammad Yousuf Raina, resident of Gund Pora, Rampora Bandipora , was demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 6500 for providing electricity connection to the complainant.
The arrest was made by a trap team following a formal complaint against the accused employee.
A case FIR number 06/2024, under Prevention of Corruption Act was registered in this connection with PS ACB Srinagar. Further investigation into the case is going on.
