JAMMU, Jan 8: The Jammu and Kashmir PDD Employees Forum (Jammu), comprising of members from various unions and organization in a crucial meeting held at Rotary Club Gandhi Nagar here today strongly decided to launch united struggle and oppose restricting of PDD into Corporation pattern under the creation of new companies to take over department in future, jeopardizing career prospectus of thousands of employees.
In a resolution passed during the meeting it was decided that all the unions/ associations would come under one banner of this new Forum and would strongly launch united struggle to oppose the proposed move of unbundling of department. The Forum feared that career of a large number of PDD employees would become uncertain with the privatization move.
Shakti Gupta (Ex-officio chairman), Sanjeev Bali and Ajaz Kazmi from Provincial Power Employees Union; P C Sharma (president), Bishan Singh & Simar Singh from Provincial Electric Employees Union; Rafiq Ahmed Khanyari ( Ex-officio chairman), Parshotam Sharma (gen secy), Sanjay Dhar from JK Central Non-Gazetted Electric Employees Union; Zulkarnain Bhat (president), Shakeel Ahmed and Hardarshan Singh from JK Technical Employees Federation (PDD); Deepak Tandon-patron, Manmohan Singh and Jatinder Sharma from JK Electrical Qaulified Foremen Association; Jasbir Singh (president), Sanjay Gupta and Vijay Pal from ITI Diploma Holders Union; Vijay Gupta (chairman), Suresh Anthal and Girdhari Lal from All J&K Electrical Deptt Linemen Workers Union and Surinder Sharma (vp), Mohd Maqbool and Gurmeet Singh from JK Non Gazetted Electric Employees Association attended the meeting and were part of consensus adopted there. They decided to collectively fight for the common cause.
