KATHUA, Feb 14: The employees from PDD in district Kathua struck work and held dharna in the office of Executive Engineer, here against the attachment of AEE Hiranagar by MoS for PDD Vikar Rasool.
While terming the action of Minister unjustified and unwarranted, the protesting engineering wing and other workers of the PDD alleged that AEE was made scapegoat for other reasons and lower performance was just a pretext. They demanded that AEE be restored to his Sub Division at Hiranagar and the practice of exploitation of the officers and employees be stopped forthwith. The employees struck work at Hiranagar as well as Kathua offices today and staged day long dharna.
