JAMMU, June 26: A Power Development Department (PDD) lineman died of electric shock here today, police said.
They said Som Raj (50) son of Lal Chand of Deoli, Bishnah, was injured after he suffered an electric shock on duty at Green Belt Park, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
He was taken to Government Medical College Jammu where doctors declared him as dead on arrival, police said.
While police have initiated inquest proceedings the body of the deceased has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem.
