JAMMU, Mar 25: All Jammu & Kashmir Electric Department Linemen & Workers Union discussed burning issues of the employees in a meeting held here today.
The meeting in this connection was held under the chairmanship of Tara Chand, president of the Union. The members strongly demanded implementation of SRO 381 in letter and spirit. It was pointed out in the meeting that designation of the employees, such as Linemen, Petrol Man, SBA and others have been changed into Tech-I, II, III and IV and under what rules the designations have been changed without any proper order. The members also demanded conduct of DPC of all cadre in time.
The Union also demanded regularization of daily wagers, contractual workers and release of their pending wages. Senior members Girdhari Lal, Vijay Kumar, Anil Slathia, Randheer Singh also spoke on the occasion.
