JAMMU, Apr 30: All Jammu and Kashmir Electric Department Linemen & Workers Union urged upon the higher authorities to resolve the pending issues of the PDD workers.
A meeting of the Union was held here today under the chairmanship of Vijay Gupta, chairman of the Union, where in the members discussed their pending issues in detail. They stressed upon the need to solve their pending issues without any more delay.
They demanded implementation of SRO-381 in full and final form, confirmation of the services of daily wagers who have completed 7 years in service, release and disbursement of welfare fund relief to those families whose bread earner was killed during the working hours, provision of tools to the workers deployed in field along with kit box for safety measures.
The chairman urged upon the Advisor to Governor to intervene into the matter and provide them some relief.
